About AC Ballet Academy

Dance for all

AC Ballet Academy is a professional dance school based in Disley, founded by Alana Clark in 2020. Our mission is to provide a friendly dance education to students of all ages and abilities. 

​

Our school follows The Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabi and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Tap and Modern syllabi. Providing students with a internationally recognised board of examinations. Students are also given the opportunity to perform in our School show.

Principal
Miss Alana
(BA(Hons), LRAD, RAD RTS, LISTD ) (Silver Swans Licensee)

Miss Alana began her dance training at the age of two, attending a local dance school in New Mills, Derbyshire. Whilst attending this school, Alana achieved several exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern with the United Kingdom Alliance (U.K.A) and attained her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate exams. At 18 years old Miss Alana moved to London and began her 3 year study at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters. At the end of her training, she gained her BA (Hons) degree in Ballet Education and the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance, one of the RAD's highest teaching qualifications. She also attained her Advanced Foundation and Advanced One RAD exams.  Whilst training at the Royal Academy of Dance, Miss Alana was fortunate enough to take part in some amazing opportunities such as, Dancing alongside Dame Darcey Bussell for the Patrons lunch in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday.

 

Miss Alana also teaches the RAD syllabus to children in 3 different schools across Greater Manchester. In 2018 Miss Alana underwent training to become a Swans Swans Licensee (over 55's ballet), she is now fortunate to be 1 of only 1000 teachers across the world who teach Silver Swans.

Miss Libby

Class Assistant

Miss Libby began dancing at the age of 7, joining a local dance school in New Mills. During her time there, she achieved high marks in all of her exams. She later joined a local stage school where she gained versatile training in all three elements of performing. At this school she also achieved Distinction in all of her LAMDA Musical Theatre and Acting exams. Miss Libby began taking evening classes at Centre Pointe in Denton at the age of 12.

Miss Libby is now currently at Centre Pointe Vocational College, where she is training in Dance. In the future she hopes to further her training in London to pursue a career in the Performing Arts. Miss Libby is very excited to be joining AC Ballet Academy and sharing her passion for dance!
